My Secret Garden Valencia. Arne Quinze

La Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciències is hosting the free exhibition entitled "My Secret Garden Valencia," a series of six large-scale sculptures that the artist Arne Quinze has created expressly to be exhibited along the Promenade of Art (four sculptures) and at the Hemisfèric's South Lake (two sculptures).
The set of sculptures belonging to the “My Secret Garden Valencia” exhibition are meant to enter into dialog with the powerful architecture of Santiago Calatrava. Each sculpture in the series deals with the rich diversity of shapes, structures, and colors found in the plant kingdom, Plantae.
The artist calls for a profound dialog between nature and culture in the development of our modern society. He challenges his audience with unconventional sculptures, promoting a sociocultural conversation that encourages creativity and embraces diversity.
Arne Quinze was born in 1971 in Belgium and lives and works in Sint-Martens-Latem (Belgium) and Los Angeles (USA). His work typically features the use of wood and metal, bright colors in fluorescent paint, and themes referring to social matters and interaction, nature, and the urban environment.
