Miguel Eladio López-Alegría
Miguel Eladio López-Alegría was the first Spanish-born astronaut to travel into space. Currently, he is an American citizen.

He has carried out several missions aboard a space shuttle, accumulating many hours flight time and space walks. López-Alegría has also directed the Yuri Gagarin Cosmonaut Training Centre in Russia. He left NASA in 2012 and joined the Commercial Spaceflight Federation as chairman, and became an independent consultant in 2014.
