First meeting of participants in the MAMI project (IATA-CSIC). 4th November

On Saturday, November 4, the Museu de les Ciències will host the first meeting of participants of the "MAMI Project", in which the results of this study on the "IMPACT OF THE MOTHER MICROBIOTE IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE CHILD" will be announced. This project, coordinated by the Institute of Agrochemistry and Food Technology (IATA-CSIC), aims to characterize the bacteria that mothers transfer to their children during gestation, childbirth and breastfeeding, as well as to study their role in short-term and long-term health of children. She also studies the influence of maternal diet and lifestyle on the maternal-filial transference of these bacteria.
Nowadays, there are more than 200 Valencian families participating in the project, which will last for 5 years and has received funding from Europe (H2020) through the European Research Council (ERC) in support of young people researchers of excellence (ERC-Starting grant).
The day will also serve as a meeting for these Valencian families who are part of the study.
