New Exhibition: Pixar. 25 years of animation
Jul 14, 2015
In the mid-80s, animated films had the greatest technological leap in its history with the appearance of the first film completely designed by computer. The company that leaded this revolution was Pixar. After an impressive reception at CaixaForum Madrid, Zaragoza and Barcelona, the exhibition ‘Pixar. 25 years of animation' now lands at the Museum of the City of Arts and Sciences of Valencia, to introduce you to the wonderful world of animation.
Beyond the technological advances, we will discover the work of dozens of artists who use traditional techniques such as drawing, painting, sculpture or pastel, essential in the design process of the stories and characters that make unforgettable each one of its films.
Enjoy watching original drawings, colorscripts, storyboards and three-dimensional models of the characters, a clever ‘Toy Story’ zoetrope, or an amazing Artscape installation that uses digital technology of Pixar, through an incredible effect of three-dimensional movement.
Furthermore, we have organized a series of Pixar film cycle in the Hemisfèric, guided visits to the exhibition area, an educational workshop where we can draw as genuine animators, or downloadable teaching resources in our educational website.
Come and live with us a real Pixar experience!
