Protected areas of the Valencia region, in ¿Tuesdays at L´Oceanogràfic¿

The City of Arts and Sciences today continues its series “Tuesdays at L’Oceanogràfic” with the lecture on “Protected areas in the Valencia region: from Columbretes to Benidorm. Managing the conflict between conservation and recreational usage”, which will be given by Juan Jiménez of the Department of Land and Housing. Protected areas will be the central theme of the talk, which will be preceded by a documentary film.

"Tuesdays at L’Oceanogràfic" is an educational event organised by the City of Arts and Sciences to promote knowledge of the marine environment. Over the course of the series, national and international experts on biology, ecology and marine resource management will look at issues relating to the conservation of marine ecosystems, contamination, posidonia forests and sustainable fishing, among others.
The next event will be held on the 17th of May, with a lecture on the impact of contamination in the Atlantic, given by Victoriano Urigorri of the Department of Animal Biology, Faculty of Biology, University of Santiago de Compostela.
