L¿Oceanogràfic at the City of Arts and Sciences launches a Summer School

L’Oceanogràfic at the City of Arts and Sciences has for the second year running organised a Summer School aimed at children between the ages of 6 and 12. It will be held at the end of June and beginning of July. The aim of this initiative is to kick of the school holidays with an extensive programme of activities that bring together learning and fun.

For five days, under the supervision of specialist instructors, the participants will be able to enjoy various workshops and games that will be held at L’Oceanogràfic. They will also see the film currently shown at L’Hemisfèric: "Shackleton’s Adventure" and pay a visit to the Príncipe Felipe Science Museum, which includes a session of Science on the Stage. .

Two new activities have been included this year. They are "Baptism in the Sea", in which, after learning the necessary theory and use of equipment for going underwater, the children will have their first contact with the world of diving; and “Sleeping with Sharks”, in which they can spend a night in the Oceans Tower surrounded by sharks.

The City of Arts and Sciences in this way takes on the role of a source of entertainment and knowledge for children who want to begin their summer holidays in a special way. The Summer School will be held three times, from the 26th to the 30th of June, from the 10th to the 14th of July and from the 17th to the 27th of July.
