The City of Arts and Sciences and El Corte Inglés strengthen their partnership on the first anniversary of the store¿s branch on Avenida de Francia

The General Manager of the City of Arts and Sciences, Jorge Vela, and the Branch Manager of El Corte Inglés on Avenida de Francia, José Ibáñez, today presented the partnering activities launched by the two organisations on the first anniversary of the store on Avenida de Francia. From the 27th of May to the 3rd of July, there will be a El Corte Inglés stand on the Calle Menor at the Science Museum and a City of Arts and Sciences stand at El Corte Inglés on Avenida de Francia with interactive games on the content of the complex and a screen with live images of the Dolphin House a L’Oceanogràfic.

The General Manager of the City of Arts and Sciences, Jorge Vela, explained that in this way “we strengthen our partnership, as there must be constant synergy between these two neighbouring organisations, which have both helped to produce a real transformation in the urban development of this area”. Jorge Vela pointed out that “the City of Arts and Sciences has always opened up its facilities and offered its avant-garde image and cultural content to further the development and progress of the Valencia region”.
He also explained that, through this collaboration, the City of Arts and Sciences “once again is working together with companies in the Valencia region to organise joint events and now are emblematic image will be associated with a highly prestigious company, putting customers at El Corte Inglés in touch with our arts and science content”. Jorge Vela also highlighted the advertising campaign launched with Viajes El Corte Inglés travel agency to promote the City of Arts and Sciences all over Spain.
In his speech, the Branch Manager of El Corte Inglés on Avenida de Francia, José Ibáñez, said that these joint actions “are not just a promotional campaign: they also constitute a true declaration of intent”. Ibáñez added that this partnership “is of great value to both parties because it puts all our customers in touch with the content of the City of Arts and Sciences and at the same time all the visitors to this cultural complex will find out about us too”.
José Ibáñez also said that the large numbers of visitors and tourists at the City of Arts and Sciences is reflected in the daily business of the department store on Avenida de Francia. He explained that over the month, different cultural and fun events will be taking place in the store on Avenida de Francia.
From Friday the 27th of May to the 3rd of July, both organisations will share stands, where there will be games, a plasma screen with an interactive mascot and at the City of Arts and Sciences stand in El Corte Inglés the public will be able to play an interactive game on the content of the City complex. Here, too, El Corte Inglés customers can see live pictures of what is going on at the Dolphin House, thanks to a camera fitted at L’Oceanogràfic.
