The regional secretary for Events and Projects, Luis Lobón, the Director General of the City of the Arts and Sciences, Jorge Vela, and the Managing Director of Levante UD, Julio Romero, today presented the Levante UD sponsorship agreement for the 2005-2006 season, which will be part of the initiative of the Valencia Generalitat to sponsor second division Valencian teams.
The City of the Arts and Sciences sponsors the Levante UD football club for the 2005-2006 season After the signing of the agreement, Luis Lobón explained that that through it "we want to support sport and the Valencian teams, to be represented in the first and second teams of Levante UD, and to carry out a series of activities in which the players visit schools and places of social relevance".

The regional secretary for Events and Projects stressed that Levante UD "is a very important part of the history of Valencia as the City of the Arts and Sciences would also like to be" and has expressed the desire to "have as long a history as that of the Levante UD".

Lobón has also stated that he would like to see Levante UD back in the first division: "you have to want to be the best and to do things as well as Levante UD".

For his part the Managing Director of Levante UD, Julio Romero, has said that he is "proud to have the emblem of Valencia on his shirt" and is confident that "we can wear it in the first division".

During the signing of the agreement Vicente Tarancón, the director of the Luanvi firm who manufacture Levante UD’s kit, was also present; for late August he has announced the marketing of this kit.

Vicente Tarancon has explained the details of the new kit that the team will wear for the 2005-2006 season, in which the traditional colours of the club have been recovered apart from a darker tone to the shorts. He has also emphasised that the shirts are very light and that the use of latest-technology microfibre fabric means better perspiration.

Sponsorship agreement
The agreement signed reflects the interest of C.A.C., S.A. in the promotion of its image as an entity supporting football at a basic level and the promotion of school and university sport, and also stresses its support of organisations and social security projects, such as activities to fight drug use, to combat AIDS, and cooperation to overcome handicaps, among others.
