The Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias displays the ESP-51 yacht of the Spanish Challenge 2007

This 32 metre high yacht is one of the three boats, together with all its technical material, purchased from the United States team, One World Challenge, that competed in the last America’s Cup in New Zealand. The measurements are the same as those of the competition boat, the ESP-88.

Visitors to the Main Street of the Museo de las Ciencias can marvel at the size and characteristics of the Spanish boat in the America’s Cup, which is 32 metres high, has a length of 34 metres and a beam of 3.6 metres.

This boat, together with the simulator Alinghi, which is already on the lake of the Hemisfèric, forms part of an exhibition that the Museo de las Ciencias is devoting to the America’s Cup and which will be inaugurated in the middle of December entitled “A toda vela”
