The City of Arts and Sciences: the tourist site most people intend visiting

Aug 11, 2007

The City of Arts and Sciences is the tourist site that most Spanish people have the intention of visiting according to a survey carried out in 2006 that concluded that this cultural promotion centre has the greatest market potential amongst all the large scale tourism, culture and leisure sites, two thirds of all Spaniards expressly stating their intention of visiting it.
The City of Arts and Sciences: the tourist site most people intend visiting This data is taken from a survey that analyses the degree of awareness, quota of visits, degree of loyalty, pulling power and the possibility of making a future visit to different tourist sites, including those of CAC, Eurodisney, Port Aventura, Warner Bros Park, the Guggenheim Museum, Isla Mágica or the Barcelona Aquarium.

Moreover, in terms of pulling power, three out of every four Spaniards (74%) who have not already visited the City of Arts and Sciences have the intention of visiting it, a degree of pulling power far greater than other sites.

As regards customer loyalty, visits to the complex generate the highest degree of satisfaction among the large sites analysed, which is reflected in the fact that 60% of customers expressed their intention of returning. This is the largest percentage among the various sites, Warner Bros. Park with 69% being the only rival to come close to that level.

Furthermore, the City of Arts and Sciences has been visited by 32% of Spaniards, which puts it into second place in terms of the Spanish market share of grand tourism, culture and leisure sites, only surpassed by Port Aventura (35.2%).

Finally and also according to this survey, all those interviewed knew of the City of Arts and Sciences and, therefore, its level of awareness is 100%, which makes it the number one tourism, culture and leisure site in this respect.
