Arctic Monkeys in the MTV Winter
Dec 23, 2009
The British band will perform on Saturday 13th February 2010 at this free concert

With their latest record “Humbug”, the Arctic Monkeys have topped the charts in the United Kingdom, Australia, France, Germany, Japan, and Spain as a follow-up to the huge success of their first two albums. They have been the star attraction at the festivals of Glastonbury, Reading, Leeds, and the Summersonic of Japan, as well as at numerous European festivals.
After the success of the first two editions of MTV Winter as far as both the organisation and the reception from the public were concerned, the City of the Arts and Sciences once again stages this musical event, thus providing the opportunity of enjoying big stars from the international music scene live and free of charge.
In 2009 over 38,000 people followed live the concerts of Franz Ferdinand, Mando Diao, Starsailor, and Polock. The show was also broadcast in 46 countries as well as in Spain, such as the United States, Canada, Brazil, Great Britain, Portugal, Italy, France, Russia, Poland, Holland, Serbia, Croatia, Turkey, Ukraine, Australia, and Japan to reach a total of 134 million people and an average audience of 15.2 million people. These figures, together with the prominence of the event in the Spanish media, mean a turnover of over 2.9 million euros.
