SHOWS WITH GORMITI AND LAZY TOWN IN THE ÁGORA THIS CHRISTMAS

The City of Arts and Sciences has organised from 18th December to 9th January a special programme during Christmas season. An ice skating rink and children’s shows in the Agora, Christmas School and Sponge Bob in the Oceanogràfic are some of the activities that will be held these dates.

An ice skating rink will be installed in the Agora from 18th December to 9th January, from 11 am to 10 pm with the exception of 29th, 30th December, 3th and 4th January. These dates will be closed and days 24th, 31st December and 5th January will be open from 11 am to 6 pm. On 25th December, 1st and 6th January the timetable will be from 6 pm to 10 pm. The price per hour is 7 euros.

Also in the Agora will be installed a Christmas market from the 18th to the 28th December, 11 am to 10 pm and workshops for kids until 9th January, from 11.30 am to 2pm, and from 5.30pm to 8 pm, with the exception of 29th, 30th December, 3th and 4th January which won’t carry out, and 24th, 31st December and 5th January that will be working from 11.30 am to 2pm, and 25th December. The timetable on the 1st and 6th January will be from 6pm to 8.30 pm.

Also the emissaries of the three wise men will be at the Agora from 18th December to 9th January, 11.30am to 2pm and 5.30pm to 9pm, and 5.30pm to 9pm, with the exception of 29th, 30th December, 3th and 4th January. These dates will be at the Paseo de Arbotantes with the same timetable. Also 24th, 31st December and 5th January will change the timetable from 11.30am to 2pm as well as 25th December, 1st and 6th January, from 6pm to 9pm. The Paseo de Arbotantes will host another Christmas market from 11am to 10 pm with the exception of the Christmas Day that will be closing.

Children will be able to enjoy shows by "Gormiti" and "Lazy Town" with two sessions on 30th December and 4th January, 5.30pm and 8.30pm in the Agora. Tickets for these shows, priced at 20 to 30 euros plus distribution costs, can be purchased from today Wednesday 24th November through El Corte Inglés.

Sponge Bob will be greeting visitors on Christmas at the Oceanogràfic (Aquarium). From 22st December to 9 January one of the aquariums will become Bikini Bottom and a photocall will be set up where the general public can be photographed with the inhabitants of Bikini Bottom. Also will be a touch by touch aquarium with the characters from this famous series. In addition, from 24th December to 6th January, Sponge Bob will be greeting and touring the building from 10.40 am to 2pm, with the exception of 25th December and 1st January that will carry out from 3.40 pm to 7 pm.

In addition, a new edition of the Oceanogràfic’s Christmas School will be held from 27th to 30th December. On this occasion those interested may attend every day or choose which days they would like. Through stories told with dolphins, sharks, penguins and turtles, workshops and games, the participants will discover the sea in a different way.

Finally, the Hemisfèric (IMAX and Full Dome) will be showing from 16th December "Giants of the Ocean. Sea Monsters," a 3D digital film based on the discoveries of paleontological excavations made all over the world that have enabled a lost world under the sea to be reconstructed..
