Winners of the 9th Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias Christmas Art Competition

 The art work of Eugenio Romero Martín, pupil in 2nd of ESO at the Colegio Marti Sorolla II of Valencia, has won the 9th Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias Christmas Art Competition to which more than one thousand primary and secondary pupils of the Valencia Region presented their work. The winning entry is to be the Christmas greetings image for the Valencia Regional Government’s scientific, leisure and cultural complex.

 

A further 11 scholars from the Valencia Region have received prizes: Josep Asis Pascualo from the Colegio Sta. Joaquina de Vedruna, in Vinalesa; Rebeca Marcos Jordán, of the Centro de Estudios Marni, in Valencia; Iván Aranda Navarro, of the Colegio Martí Sorolla, in Valencia; Diego Gómez Fervenza of the Centro de Estudios Marni, in Valencia; Iris Montoya Maldonado, of the Colegio Público Pablo Neruda, in Valencia; Marta Martínez Fernández, of the Colegio San José de las Hermanas Franciscanas de la Inmaculada; Guillermo Martorell Gómez, of the Colegio Salesiano San Antonio, in Valencia; Sandra Gallart Muguruza, of the C.P Chiner Villarroya, in Valencia; Anna Martí Hidalgoof the Colegio Auxiliadora, in Sueca, and Teresa Ridaura Fuentes, of the Programa de Garantía Social Monitor Cultural Ayuntamiento de Benetúser.


The award ceremony will be in December as part of the programme on offer at this year’s Christmas Festival of the Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias. The winners will receive a diploma, a gift box, various copies of the Christmas card and four combined admissions to the complex (Museo + L´Hemisfèric + L´Oceanogràfic). Moreover their drawings, along with the other work presented, will be on display at the Hemisfèric.
