Next Saturday, 11th November, the Museo de las Ciencias is hosting the annual meeting of the Board of Directors of the Spanish Association of Scientific Communication, which will be getting together in Valencia to present their new developmental stage and to celebrate the 6th anniversary of the interactive centre directed by Manuel Toharia, which opened its doors to the public in the year 2000.

During these days, the Museo de las Ciencias becomes the seat of scientific communication and of this body, formerly known as the Spanish Association of Scientific Journalists, who will be presenting a new developmental stage in which their field of activity will be opened out, not only to journalists but also to scientific educators and communicators.

The members of this Association, presided over by the director of the Museo de las Ciencias Manuel Toharia, and whose main objective is to promote and spread science throughout society will be meeting on Saturday morning at the Museum. At 6 p.m. Daniel Ramón, doctor in Biochemical Science and Scientific Researcher of CSIC at the Food Agrochemistry and Technology Institute, will speak on molecular biology and transgenic foods.
