 The Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias has installed a huge skating rink in the lake of the Museo de las Ciencias which will be open to the public for the whole of December until 7th January.

The skating rink, of 700 square metres and with a capacity for 90 people, will be open from Monday to Thursday, from 10.30 a.m. to 8.30 p.m.; Friday and Sunday from 10.30 a.m. to 9.30 p.m. and Saturdays from 10.30 a.m. to 10.30 p.m. On 24th to 31st December it will be open until 2 p.m.; whilst on 25th December and 1st January it will be open to the public from 5 p.m. Tickets (5 euros for adults and 3 for children) can be bought at the ticket offices of the Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias.

In this way, the Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias is extending the activities provided by the complex. In addition, over the weekend of Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th December, it will be holding the sixth Christmas festival including various activities such as theatre, workshops, music and children’s animations.

All activities of the Christmas Festival will be free and will take place on the ground floor of the Museo de las Ciencias Príncipe Felipe from 11 a.m. until 7.15 p.m., with the exception of the skating rink on the museum’s lake, for which there is a charge.
