The astronaut Neil Armstrong visits the City of Arts and Sciences
Jul 26, 2005

The astronaut Neil Armstrong today visited the City of Arts and Sciences and gave a lecture on space travel and the Earth’s energy requirements, at the Santiago Grisolía Auditorium of the Príncipe Felipe Science Museum. He came as guest of honour at the Campus Party, the world’s largest LAN get-together, now in its ninth year and held from the 25th to the 31st July in Valencia. Neil Armstrong, the first man to walk on the surface of the moon during the Apollo 11 mission, unveiled a plaque commemorating his visit, alongside the President of the Regional Government of Valencia, Francisco Camps. He thereby officially opened the Campus Experience, an exhibition that will be opened at the Museum during the IT event, for any members of the public who want to broaden their knowledge of information technology.
