THE CIUTAT DE LES ARTS I LES CIÈNCIES AND BERKLEE ARE COLLABORATING ON A NEW YEAR ON THE 'OPEN MUSIC' PROGRAMME

The Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciències and the Berklee campus in Valencia are collaborating on a new year of the 'Berklee Open Music', which includes cultural activities such as concerts open to the public, film screenings, workshops and lectures, in addition to the concert 'La Nit de Berklee' on 3 July, which will honour the multifaceted Brazilian musician Gilberto Gil and will be streamed live.

The programme begins this Saturday, 24 April with the online competition  'Musaico Festival', which will be streamed through the website musaicofest.com. The event brings together a total of 7 Berklee student performances from different locations in the city of Valencia.

The new season of 'Un Lago de Conciertos' will begin Friday, 7 May at the lakes in the Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciències. The series includes a total of 12 concerts, from May to October, in which students from the school, who come from more than 28 countries, will perform music live in very different styles, from jazz to blues and soul, through music of the world: flamenco, electronic, folk, funk and Latin jazz. Admission is free with advance reservation on the website of the Ciutat de Les Arts i Les Ciències.

Music and technology
The program continues from 18 to 21 May with the second year of 'INO CON: Music and Tech Conference', a virtual conference centred around music and technology, with different lectures, workshops and musical performances. The event culminates in the transmission of a virtual concert rebroadcast from the Hemisfèric.

On 9 and 10 June the projection room of the Hemisfèric will offer Chromestesia', a multi-sensorial experience in which colours and textures will help in feeling music through other senses.

Also taking place in this space on 29 June and 1 July will be 'Berklee on the Big Screen: A Première' an exclusive presentation of the work of students in the programme: 'Composition of soundtracks for film, television and video games'. Entrance is free with advance reservation.

The traditional concert 'La Nit de Berklee' that celebrates the end of the series will be 3 July from 5:00pm at the Hemisfèric's lake. Due to the health situation, it will take place without an audience present, but it can be followed live via the platforms of Berklee Valencia.
