THE HEMISFÈRIC SCREENS THE FILM ‘3D FLAMES, HISTORY OF A ‘FALLA’ AGAIN IN MARCH

From 1 March, the Hemisfèric will show the documentary '3D Flames, history of a Falla', the first one produced in 3D about the Fallas in Valencia. This film premiered in 2013 at the Hemisfèric and with its revival the Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciències wants to show its support for the world of the Fallas and showcase these festivities during the second week of March without Fallas given the pandemic.

The film tells the story of how these festivities, declared Intangible World Heritage by UNESCO are experienced. The most important moments of the life of the Fallas is shown, like the “plantà” or the “ofrena”, the experiences of various characters, including the most intimate moments of the artist in their workshop or with a commission. All that framed by an original soundtrack by Borja Penalba.

In this screening, Leonardo da Vinci, whose voice is provided by the actor Juli Mira, tells in first person how the idea of the Fallas artist Manolo García became a work of art erected for the Falla Na Jordana in 2012.
