Sustainable development and the fight against climate change are the focus of the new exhibitions in the Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciències
Jun 17, 2020
The Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciències this month has the new exhibitions 'Facing change, let's change' and 'Together we can achieve it', which address some of the main challenges raised by climate change, and that this Wednesday takes centre stage on the occasion of World Day to Combat Desertification and Drought. Both exhibits are free of charge for being in areas that are freely entered.
The exhibition 'Facing climate change, let's change' offers brief portrayals of what climate change means for planet Earth and invites the visitor to reflect on how to take action to try to mitigate the serious consequences it entails. The exhibit is set up in the outdoor areas of the Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciències.
In Calle Menor of the Museu de les Ciències, the public can see the exhibit 'The Children's Council against climate change: Together we can achieve it', which is presented as an environmental decalogue made up of 10 panels on which are displayed certain aspects of the environment, the planet and human activity. The exhibition was conceived by the Children's Council of the Museu, as regards both the subject and the writing and drawings.
After touring these exhibitions, which may be freely accessed, the public can enter the Museu de les Ciències for a special price. Until 28 June the tickets to the Museu will have a flat, affordable price of 4 euros. In this way, the Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciències wishes to continue promoting visits to the Museu, adapting the price due to the limitations imposed on the tactile use of modules as a result of health and hygiene measures.
