"Escher's Universe", a production by the "Parque de las Ciencias de Granada", brings us close to the figure of the multifaceted Dutch artist M.C. Asher, making the most of multimedia technology of the digital Planetarium. The fact that Escher was an amateur astronomy lover allows us to do a tour of his wonderful creations where astronomy appears reflected with an original and attractive vision, and these aspects characterise the whole of his work.

The repetition and organisation of geometric figures on the plane without leaving spaces between them becomes one of the most used instruments.

His work is made known to an extensive audience through the collaboration with the Escher Foundation, Patronage by Alhambra and Generalife. This programme by Planetarium is intended to be an acknowledgement of a unique person who knew how to join intuition with art and science.

"I try in my prints to testify that we live in a beautiful and orderly world, not in a chaos without norms, even though that is how it sometimes appears." M.C. Escher
