The Science Museum houses the "Water Future" display
On the third floor until 12th September
The Príncipe Felipe Science Museum is housing the “Water Future” exhibition until next 12th September. This is aided by the Social Work fund of Caja España bank and shows the general public the problems with water from a general, impartial viewpoint. It was inaugurated today by the third vice-president and head of the regional Environment department, Juan Cotino.
“Water Future” explains what this indispensable commodity is and how it is used for humanity, as well as why it is so threatened by climate change, human activity and irrational consumption. With these premises and aims, this project has been created in order to widen citizens’ awareness for better use and care for available fresh water.
Through these facilities, graphic panels, audiovisuals, models and interactive displays, the visitors can discover the origins of water, its presence on the planet, how it is related to humans, its uneven distribution among peoples, the threats it faces and possible behavioural patterns and responsible use for its quality to last in future.
