The Príncipe Felipe Science Museum has become a world reference point for interactive science and one of the most visited destinations in the country, with over 30,7 million visitors since its inauguration in 2000. Its main objective is stimulating curiosity and critical thinking and at the same time surprising and amusing the public by its contents from the world of science, technology, and the environment.

Activity

Have you felt the sensation of walking on water? You can get it in the City of Arts and Sciences with the activity Waterballs

Waterball is an activity for all ages, in which you will be introduced into a plastic ball and inflated with air and seal in. If your balance allows, you can feel the sensation of walking on water in it. Enjoy without stop running and rolling literally on the water. Until October 28 2012, every day on Museum´s Lake from 10 am to 7 pm. Price is 5 euros.

Exposición y Mesa redonda 'MUJERES EN LA CIENCIA: SUPERANDO LOS RETOS DE GÉNERO EN CIENCIA'

Muchas mujeres inician su carrera como científicas, pero pocas llegan a puestos destacados. Para mejorar esta situación organiza el museo, junto con la Sociedad Española de Bioquímica y Biología Molecular, SEBBM, esta mesa redonda, que comenzará con la inauguración de una exposición sobre 23 grandes bioquímicas internacionales, incluídas tres españolas. Acceso libre, previa inscripción.

LEARN ABOUT THE PLACES WHERE DISNEY'S 'TOMORROWLAND: A WORLD BEYOND' WAS FILMED AT THE CITY OF ARTS AND SCIENCES

Visitors can walk through the freely-accessible spaces that appear in the film, like the Cypress Tree Walkway in front of the Hemisfèric and the lake which runs along the Turia River Bed Gardens, as well as the Flying Buttress Walkway near the Palace of the Arts. The dentil cornice which crowns the northern façade of the Science Museum is also featured in some of the most noteworthy shots, as well as the cantilever elevated walkway.


Concerts

Music with Berklee free access

The exterior surroundings of the lakes will host the concerts of 'Música con Berklee' (Music with Berklee), -free access- at 8 p.m. in the southern lake of the Museum.

Sciences Museum's services

Discover all services at the Sciences Museum

  • Free-Flow Restaurant . The Museum has a Free-Flow Restaurant open from 1.30 p.m. to 4.00 p.m. on weekends, holydays and high session with views to the River Turia gardens. The restaurant can hold up to 112 diners. Telephone number 961.974.429
  • Cafeteria.The Museum has a cafeteria in the Calle Major (Main Street) that stays open until the Museum closes.
  • Bookshop. At the Bookshop, the visitor can also purchase publications produced by the City of Arts and Sciences.
  • Guided tours. Enjoy a guided tour of the exhibitions and of our magnificent building in which you will find out interesting and curious information.
  • Ticket offices. The Museum has various admission ticket offices for the different buildings of the City of Arts and Sciences, where information and advice on ticket purchases can also be obtained.
