This is the biggest aquarium in the Oceanogràfic and one of the largest in the world, with a volume of 7 million litres. The building consists of two underwater areas connected on the lower level by means of an acrylic tunnel 35 metres in length.
It represents a virtual voyage across the Atlantic Ocean from the east coast (the Canary Islands) to the west coast (Bermuda). Species such as the impressive sandtiger shark, the grey shark, and other spectacular species such as the guitar fish, the violet stingray, the eagle ray, and the barracuda stand out, together with large shoals of fish such as mackerel, horse mackerel, carangids, and bonito.
