Discover the City of Arts and Sciences

Science, nature and art in a complex devoted to scientific and cultural dissemination in Europe, placed in Valencia.

The City of Arts and Sciences in Valencia is a unique complex devoted to scientific and cultural dissemination which is made up of five main elements: the Hemisfèric (IMAX cinema and digital projections), the Umbracle (a landscaped vantage point and car park), the Príncipe Felipe Science Museum (an innovative centre of interactive science), the Oceanográfico (the largest aquarium in Europe with over 500 marine species) and the Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía (which takes care of the operatic programme). The Ágora gives the complex a multifunctional space.

Along an axis of just under two kilometres that was formerly the bed of the River Turia, this complex promoted by the Generalitat Valenciana has striking architecture - designed by Santiago Calatrava and Félix Candela - and an endless capacity for entertaining and stimulating the minds of its visitors. In its various buildings they can get to know different aspects of science, technology, nature, and art.

Panoramic tour and cocktail

The Agora Nights

Every Wednesday 'The Ágora Nights' will take place at 9:15 p.m. from 9 July to 3 September. This activity includes a guided tour through the Hemisfèric, Science Museum and Umbracle. The event will end with a cocktail party offered to the attendees


Exhibition

Exhibition 'From Pen Strokes to Real Life'

From 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. visitors of the City of Arts and Sciences will be able to enjoy, free of charge, in the Agora building, the exhibition 'From Pen Strokes to Real Life'. Until 24th September 2014.

Scuba dive with sharks in the Oceanogràfic of the City of Arts and Sciences

Turtles 3D + The Little Prince 3D, two animated children's features shown in a double-bill to enjoy 3D in the Hemisfèric

The little turtle Sammy passes coral reefs and frozen waters in a marvellous voyage through the planet¿s oceans. In The Little Prince, public accompany The Little Prince, and his entertaining friend, the Fox, searching his beloved rose.

Go down the Blue Nile with " The Mystery of the Nile ", from the mountains of Ethiopia, crossing Sudan and Egypt up to ending in the Mediterranean. An adventure in which you will know spectacular landscapes of Africa, accompanying the protagonists of this trip.
