IMAX cinema and digital projections to feel adventures through spectacular images.
This is the largest hall in Spain to contain two systems projecting onto a concave screen of 900 square metres:
- Large-format cinema, IMAX Dome.
- Digital projections. Astronomical representations and entertainment shows.
The Hemisfèric was inaugurated in 1998 and was the first building in the City of Arts and Sciences to open its doors to the public. It is a spectacular construction designed by Santiago Calatrava, with an ovoid roof over 100 metres long that contains in its interior the large sphere that constitutes the projection room.

New film in the Hemisfèric
Discover how there live some of the most fascinating animals of the planet. In this film you will go on an original and fun journey through the animal world, an imaginary place full of good mood, beauty and entertainment for children and parents. Animalópolis it¿s a happy and imaginary look where a great variety of animals has slightly usual attitudes. Cheetahs that run like Ferraris, operatic lions and jittery crabs and much more.
Projection
Egypt. Secrets of the Mummies
It is about a journey through the tombs of the great pharaohs of Egypt in which the spectator will explore the history of this civilisation by means of the secrets kept by the mummies. The film is partly a historical journey and partly a forensic adventure.
