These General Access and Use Conditions (from hereon General Conditions) regulate access and use of this website which is the property of Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias, S.A., (from hereon CACSA).
This website is accessible through the address www.cac.es (from hereon, the Website) and use hereof is free of charge by users (from hereon Users) and does not require any kind of prior subscription or registration.
However, the contracting of specific services or products may require registration of Users on the Website under the terms and conditions described herein, and, prior acceptance of certain specific conditions that are defined and completed in this list of General Conditions.

Consequently, under their own responsibility, Users should read all these conditions carefully, every time they decide to use the Website. The specific conditions are applicable for specific products, services and contents that are offered to Users through this Website, whose access and/or use are regulated by them, and which, depending on specific cases, substitute, complete and/or amend the General Conditions. Users hereby undertake, are aware of and accept that the data and information contained in the Website are solely and exclusively informational, simply by visiting the Website, and it should be considered to preliminary information that is made available for the attention of Users and which may contain errors, inaccuracies or may not be up to date.
CACSA reserves the right to modify and update the contents of this Website, its configuration and presentation, as well as these General or the specific conditions, at any time without previously warning Users, and it is therefore the responsibility of the User to read the conditions each time they access and/or use the site.
Users hereby declare that they are of legal age, in accordance with national law and have the legal capacity necessary to be bound by these General Conditions, as well as to use, and when applicable, contract through this Website, in accordance with any applicable specific conditions. Regarding all conditions, Users hereby acknowledge being aware of them, understanding them and accepting them in full. The Website has some applications that are specifically designed for children's entertainment, all of which are free of charge. However, access and use thereof by minors, must be supervised and controlled by Users, who expressly declare that the use of said applications is under their sole and exclusive responsibility. The games that are available on the Website aim to contribute to the mental development of children and adolescents and are understood not to contain any messages that are breach legal requirements, nor do they incite to violence or criminal activities or any form of discrimination. They do not have any adult contents and do not incite to the purchase of services or products offered by CACSA. Nevertheless, CACSA advises against prolonged exposal to these contents. CACSA reserves the right to deny or remove access and/or use of the Website at any time without the need of prior notice to any registered Users who breach these General Conditions and/or the specific conditions when they are applicable.
GUARANTEE OF USE OF THE WEBSITE
CACSA does not guarantee the availability and continuity of the working of Website or of the products, services or contents offered therein, nor that the contents of the Website are free of errors or up to date information, and is hereby exempted from all liability for damages of any nature that could arise through this condition. CACSA will carry out all necessary tasks to correct any errors, re-establish communication and to update contents, providing circumstances do not arise that make this impossible or difficult to do, as soon as we receive news concerning any errors, disconnection or obsolete information in the contents.
Furthermore, CACSA does not guarantee the technical reliability of their website, nor access to its different pages. Moreover, CACSA does not guarantee the reliability of any contents provided by third parties through our Website, and is likewise exempted form any liability for damages of any nature that could arise through lack of certainty, truthfulness, availability, continuity, lawfulness, validity and nature of said contents.
CACSA hereby states and guarantees that their Website has the necessary technology (software and hardware) as of this date, for access and/or use hereof. Nevertheless, CACSA does not guarantee the future existence of virus or other technologically damaging elements on their Website that could cause alterations to the computer systems of Users, that could be introduced by third parties. Likewise, CACSA hereby states that, regarding their Website, it was designed, created and implemented by third parties upon request by CACSA and has suitable security systems in line with current technology.
SERVICES OFFERED BY CACSA THROUGH THIS WEBSITE
Annual tickets for Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias
In order to become a member of the Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias Club (from hereon Member), Users must purchase an annual entrance ticket for Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias (for all areas), or for just one area (Oceanográfico, Museo de las Ciencias Príncipe Felipe or Hemisfèric), at the Club ticket office that is located inside the Museo de las Ciencias Principe Felipe, and fill in their personal details on the relevant membership application form. Registering a minor as a Member must be carried out by the minor's legal representative, who will be in charge of and responsible for including the personal details of the minor that are required, for the purposes of processing the relevant application.
The annual tickets issued by CACSA will be valid for one year to be calculated from the date the ticket is issued.
The annual ticket price will depend on the age of the applying User, and the modality of the ticket since there are four different types (one for each area separately, and one that allows access to the three different areas). The prices for annual tickets will be those published on the Website at the time of application, except in the case of any typing errors, with CACSA reserving the right to modify, at their own discretion, any conditions regarding inscription and registration of Members.
Once an annual ticket has been delivered to a Member under the conditions provided for the previous paragraphs, the Member will have full rights to the advantages offered at all times to Members.
The status of Member will be lost when an annual ticket for access to Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias (Oceanográfico, Museo de las Ciencias Príncipe Felipe or Hemisfèric) is no longer held.
The rights and obligations of Users who are Members, are regulated by that provided for in the General Conditions, as far as they are applicable, as well as the Internal Regulations of Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias.
The conditions described in this section must be complemented by the specific conditions for club members which are published on the website www.cac.es/club.
Users may fill out a form on www.cac.es/club in order to provide CACSA with their details prior to purchasing the annual ticket to save time taking personal details at the Club ticket office.
Users do hereby declare, under their own responsibility, that all the information provided by them on the form "become a member" is certain, true, complete and accurate and refers to the applicant and/or members of his/her family.
Any personal details entered by Users through the Club's website www.cac.es/club will be subject to the rights and guarantees established in Clause IV of these General Conditions.
Sale of tickets
Users may buy entrance tickets for Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias (Oceanográfico, Museo de las Ciencias Príncipe Felipe and Hemisfèric) through the website www.cac.es/entradas. The type of ticket Users will be able to buy will be those that are available at the time on the Website.
The prices for entrance tickets will be those that are published on the CACSA website at the time, describing the dates and other specific circumstances relevant to each ticket, except for typing errors, with CACSA reserving the right to modify the specific conditions concerning on-line purchase of tickets.
The purchase of entrance tickets, and any rights and obligations of Users, during the purchase of entrance tickets and once they have been bought, are also subject to the General Conditions defined herein, and to the relevant specific conditions, as well as to the Internal Regulations of Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias, which are available at the Customer Services offices at Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias. This information will be provided to any Users who request it.
PERSONAL DETAILS
In order to access certain services and/or products offered through this Website, CACSA may collect information regarding the personal details of Users for the purpose specified for each case or each product or service. Moreover, Users will be informed as to the compulsory or optional nature of providing the requested information, of the consequences of providing or denying the information.
In accordance with the Organic Law 15/1999 passed on December 13th pursuant to Data Protection (from hereon LOPD) and subsequent regulations, Users acknowledge and accept the fact that their details will be included in a computer file that is the property of CACSA in order to carry out publicity and commercial campaigns, electronic commerce, customer loyalty, reservation and issuing of entrance tickets, financial and accounting management, customer management and payment management.
Additionally, CACSA hereby informs Users of their rights to access, rectify, cancel or oppose the personal details gathered, under the terms established in LOPD, who may exercise their rights by FAX on +34 96 1974505, by e-mail at marketingonline@cac.es stating ¿bbdd¿ in the subject field or by post to the following address: Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias, Prolongación Paseo de la Alameda, 48. Entresuelo 1 y 2. 46023 Valencia, addressed to the "Departamento de Marketing Relacional".
Users guarantee and will be liable for the certainty, truthfulness, exactness, validity and legitimacy of the personal details that they provide, hereby undertaking to keep them duly updated.
CACSA hereby guarantees that they have taken the relevant technical and organisational security measures in their installations, systems and files in accordance with that established under Royal Decree 994/1999, passed on June 11th, in which Security Measures Applicable to Computerised Files with Personal Details were approved and others. Nevertheless, CACSA may provide personal details and any other information in their power obtained through their computer systems to the competent public authorities as required under the legal and regulatory provisions that are applicable to the case.
Users hereby give their consent to CACSA to enter fragments of information in the hard disk of the Users' computers once Users have accessed the Website (from hereon "Cookies". Said Cookies are included with the purpose of providing information about visits by Users, allowing the analysis of traffic produced by them. In this way, CACSA will obtain additional information about the characteristics of Users who visit the Website which will allow personalised services to be provided, as well as improving the contents of the Website that will benefit Users.
Users may disable the personalised system of the Website at any time. NULLITY AND INEFFECTIVENESS OF THE CLAUSES
If any of the clauses in these General Conditions were declared totally or partially null and ineffective, such nullity and ineffectiveness will only affect the provision in question or the part that is null or ineffective, while the remaining parts will be upheld as will the rest of the General Conditions and such provision or part thereof that is considered affected will be considered to have been removed, unless, due to it being essential to these General Conditions, it were to affect them in full.
ADHESION TO THE ARBITRATIONAL SYSTEM
With an aim to enhance understanding with customers concerning any discrepancies that may arise, Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias hereby states that it adheres to the arbitrational system for consumers of the Valencian Community.
APPLICABLE LEGISLATION AND JURISDICTION
These General Conditions and, when applicable, the Specific Conditions that are applicable, will be governed by Spanish legislation, which will be applicable in all matters that are not covered in this contract concerning interpretation hereof, validity and execution.
Both parties hereby revoke any other jurisdiction they could be entitled to and undertake to subject themselves expressly to the Courts and Tribunals of Valencia in order to resolve any controversy that could arise through the interpretation or execution of the General and Specific Conditions.
